My Suncoast ExperienceOne day I was at Suncoast browsing anime, you see,
When a guy who worked there started talking to me!
He talked about Naruto, Hetalia, Vocaloid;
This was just something I couldn't avoid.
A few minutes passed, I think it was ten,
I thought I could never go home again!
He blabbed on and on about Pokemon and Bleach,
And I was getting real tired of this otaku speech!
(Don't get me wrong, I love anime so,
Bu t nobody wants otaku overload!)
He asked to go to a cosplay convention,
My heart sank in my stomach from all the tension,

Yep. WoW poetry. What is this world coming to?

I've gotten back into WoW a bit, and my latest character is a real charmer. He's a bard, and I admit influence from my course in Welsh literature. His name is shamelessly borrowed from there as well. He is also obnoxiously cheerful, and very emotional when it comes to his instruments. He's a laugh and I love his little pointy ears.

And since he is a bard, I'm writing a few poems for him to recite. Limericks are possibly my absolute favourite form. They are tricky, not so much in the rhyme as the rhythm, though the rhyme has given me some troubles as well.

I loved making them, and now I am sharing them. That second one is for ~PinkCowbell

P.S. There is no category for fan-poetry. I refuse to believe I am the first to do this sort of thing.

Oh, I know I'm not the only one, not on dA either. I thought it was amusing that it was so hard to categorise.

And dA isn't always too friendly on literary works, anyway, which is both understandable and kind of sad.

Yes, I am delighted. Ecstatic!

I'm glad the arm and a leg thing works. I had to wrangle it in there in a bit of an awkward position because of the metre, so I'm pleased it still comes across. I mean, I told my mom and she didn't get it but she's not a fluent speaker.
